Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Compounding Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee daily compounding operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate blending of products in support of production requirements. In this role, you will manage the compounding team, maintain control of chemical inventory, and ensure all materials, equipment, and processes are prepared and executed in alignment with production schedules, quality standards, and CGMP regulations. Working closely with operations leadership, you will coordinate teams, support operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership and energetic approach will play a key role in maintaining product quality, enhancing performance, and ensuring excellence across all compounding and packaging processes in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Daily Operations
- Supervise and direct the compounding team to meet daily production and scheduling requirements
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the compounding team
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor work to ensure timely and accurate batch execution
- Provide training, coaching, and support to compounding team
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Production Readiness & Execution
- Verify all raw materials, equipment, and documentation are available and prepared prior to compounding
- Ensure batch tickets and formulations are followed accurately
- Monitor compounding activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
- Enter and maintain accurate production and compounding data within the ERP system
- Work collaboratively with Lab personnel to ensure samples are made and approved timely
Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain accurate chemical inventory levels
- Coordinate with purchasing and planning to ensure material availability
- Monitor usage, identify discrepancies, and support inventory accuracy initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Lab Manager and lab team to support formulation adjustments and product consistency
- Partner with the Production Planner to anticipate upcoming orders and identify opportunities for efficiencies and economies of scale
- Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure compounding equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with production teams to support overall plant operations
Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to compounding issues
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
- Maintain proper documentation and support audit readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
- 5 years of experience in a blending, chemical, or manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems and production scheduling environments
- Strong understanding of chemical handling, batching processes, and safety requirements

Pay: $62,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
