What You'll Do
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility support across multiple Pleasantrees locations. You'll work closely with General Managers and department leaders, treating each location as an internal customer while ensuring every facility remains compliant, safe, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs across multiple facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues involving building systems and equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency service calls.
Building Systems - Assist in maintaining commercial building systems including:
- HVAC equipment
- Plumbing and Electrical systems
- Lighting
- Doors and hardware
- Irrigation systems
- Interior and exterior building maintenance
Preventative Maintenance
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become costly repairs.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Document completed work orders and inspections.
- Perform seasonal landscaping and exterior maintenance.
- Prepare retail locations for community and promotional events by maintaining sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas as needed.
Compliance & Safety
- Support compliance with OSHA standards and applicable state and local regulations.
- Maintain facilities in accordance with company policies and cannabis regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safe work environment for employees and guests.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Commercial Maintenance, Property Maintenance, or Industrial Maintenance
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and work order systems)
- Communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular physical activity, including:
- Frequently standing and walking for extended periods
- Climbing ladders and working at elevated heights
- Safely accessing industrial rooftops
- Bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to warehouse, cultivation, and retail environments

Work Environment
This is a field-based position supporting multiple Pleasantrees locations throughout Michigan. Travel between facilities is expected as part of daily responsibilities. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required to respond to emergency maintenance needs or scheduled facility projects.
Employment Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (THC excluded).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must comply with all company policies and Michigan cannabis industry regulations.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
