The Maintenance Supervisor at Pleasant View Gardens is responsible for leading, guiding and coaching a maintenance team consisting of seven people. On a daily basis, you will direct the activities of the team as it relates to scheduling preventative maintenance, troubleshooting problems on equipment, general upkeep and repair, and supporting the facilities manager with a variety of projects. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
_ Manage maintenance team:_
- Lead, motivate and develop a collaborative maintenance team
- Skills training; work with team members to identify training requirements
- Coaching; mentor team members and recommend performance improvement actions as needed
- Create and implement a schedule to provide on-call emergency service for both the Pembroke and Loudon facility.
General knowledge of the following maintenance activities:
- Electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building construction and maintenance
- Greenhouse Facilities/Systems
- Heating Systems – installation/ service and repair of boiler / burner / heaters and hot water systems
- General knowledge of wood burning boiler and bio-mass systems.
- Vehicle and Equipment Operation
- Grounds Maintenance
Safety:
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area
- Work with the safety team to create safety policies and procedures
- Comply with OSHA regulations and identify compliance requirements
- Conduct tailgate safety training
Communication:
- Work with PVG Facilities Manager for availability and use of additional maintenance resources when needed.
- Keep managers informed of the status of tasks and repairs.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance is kept on schedule.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess knowledge and experience industrial electrical, plumbing and mechanical maintenance
- Demonstrates excellent time management, planning and attention to detail.
- Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations
- Good decision making and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage conflict
- Ability to drive Forklifts, scissor lifts, tractors, loaders, and excavators if needed.
Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent is required.
· 5 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance position.
· 5-8 years of proven supervisory experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100, $120,000.00 per year
