Direct support staff- Community Day Program

Direct Support Staff play a key role in helping participants engage in their community, develop skills, and enjoy fulfilling daily experiences. This position works hands-on with participants providing support, encouragement, supervision, and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing direct support and supervision to participants during daily program activities
• Assisting with community outings, skill-building activities, and recreational programming
• Promoting independence, dignity, safety, and respect at all times
• Supporting behavioral plans and positive behavior techniques (training provided)
• Assisting with personal care support as needed (may vary by individual)
• Helping maintain a positive, structured, and supportive environment
• Completing basic documentation and daily notes

Requirements:

• Must be 18
• Must be able to pass background clearance
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
• CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
