WHAT'S THE SCOPE?
Pay: We offer our Public Works Tech - Street Maintenance Technician a competitive wage of $20.39 to $29.49 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: This is a full-time entry-level position with a consistent schedule and participation in an emergency on-call rotation.
YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER
As a Public Works Tech - Street Maintenance Technician, you'll help construct, maintain, and repair the city's streets, sidewalks, and stormwater systems. Your daily tasks will include operating heavy equipment, performing asphalt repairs, clearing storm drains, and assisting with snow and ice removal in winter. This hands-on entry-level position offers variety and the opportunity to positively impact the community.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Utah driver's license
- Current CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety practices
- Knowledge of basic practices and methods of pipeline repair and construction
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to perform routine job tasks, such as mowing and weed maintenance
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be on-call during assigned periods
- Learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
