We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines, and possess the ability to work on various types of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. Pay level will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Conduct inspections of farm machinery and heavy equipment to identify potential issues.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
- Repair and maintain electrical systems within diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Provide tire service for various types of vehicles as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Operate heavy equipment safely while conducting repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including electrical systems.
- Proficient in tire service operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
