Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using Open Dental.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
- Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle medical collections with accuracy and professionalism.
- Manage patient records by updating and reviewing documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with insurance claim submissions and follow-up.
- Handle incoming calls on multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; address patient inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Coordinate patient intake processes including new patient registration, medical history collection, and documentation review to streamline office flow.
- Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with understanding their care plans and coverage details.
- Perform general front desk duties such as scheduling follow-up visits, confirming appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security throughout daily operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a dog person as we have therapy dogs available for our patients in office.
- At least 2 years of front office experience in a dental practice.
- Experience with pediatric care is preferred.
- Experience in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with dental insurance, treatment planning and presenting.
- Prior use of Open Dental practice management software preferred.
- Prior use of Dental Intelligence software preferred but not required.
Compensation
- $20-$25 per hour
- Bonus program available and eligible following 90 days of continuous employment
- PTO and sick time
