Overview
Pleasant Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our fun, energetic, and kid-focused team in Peoria, AZ! Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to children of all ages in a warm and welcoming environment. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented dental assistant who thrives in a fast-paced pediatric setting. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings positive energy to the office, and is passionate about creating great dental experiences for every patient. Another plus, we have therapy dogs available for our patients!
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am–2:00pm
- 40 hours a week
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during pediatric dental procedures
- Take and process digital X-rays
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene
- Support front and back office teamwork as needed
Qualifications
- Must be a dog person as we have therapy dogs available for our patients in the office.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in Open Dental practice management software.
- Coronal polishing and sealant certification preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with X-ray techniques and ability to take X-rays on children.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to interpret dental terminology accurately and communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, along with their parents/guardians.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations concerning medical records and data privacy.
- Experience supporting various specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.

Compensation
- $18-$25 per hour DOE
- Bonus opportunities available after 90 days of continuous employment
- PTO and sick time available
