Job Summary
Hours may include after school in our ELOP program
BASIC FUNCTION: Under direction of supervisor, assist in the instruction and supervision of individual or groups of students by performing a variety of instructional support activities related to an effective learning environment.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
• Follows teacher direction in working with individual or groups of students.
• Assist students with assigned work; listen to students read, answer questions, reinforce concepts, check work for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in administering formal and informal assessments.
• Supervise students to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Implement school-wide discipline policies.
• Performs other duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Two letters of reference.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent AND
• Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematical skill sufficient to obtain a passing score on a standardized proficiency test - must pass within 30 days of employment
Salary : $19 - $23
