Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, extensions, and treatments tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and provide professional recommendations based on hair type and face shape
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following industry regulations
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, processing transactions, and managing client records
- Upsell retail products like hair care, styling tools, and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and answering inquiries with excellent communication skills
- Mentor junior team members in hair techniques, customer service excellence, and salon operations
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of hair styling techniques
- Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and threading is a plus
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment management
- Strong understanding of color theory, sanitation standards, and store management practices
- Skilled in retail sales, upselling strategies, and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members
- Ability to perform detailed work such as straight razor shaves and intricate hair styling with precision
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience in a salon environment is desirable
