Duties
- Supervise children in playroom settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organize and facilitate engaging activities tailored to various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Assist with diapering, toddler care, and basic childcare routines in accordance with health and safety standards
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the play area, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly
- Support early childhood education initiatives by encouraging social skills, creativity, and developmental milestones
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs teaching roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in CPR and First Aid from recognized organizations (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to mandated reporting laws when required
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
