Position Overview
The Shipping/ Receiving Associate is responsible documenting, receiving, storing, and preparing products and materials for transport across the Lewisburg, New Berlin, and Montandon facilities. Key duties include unloading trucks, inspecting incoming shipments against invoices, operating warehouse equipment like forklifts, maintaining inventory, packaging items for outgoing shipments, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer skills, physical stamina, and adherence to safety procedures to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods within a company or warehouse.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving Shipments: Unload incoming trucks, inspect contents, verify against purchase orders, and process documentation. Report any packing slip discrepancies to purchasing. Record and report quality issues to quality and purchasing.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods, update inventory, and conduct cycle counts as required.
- Storing Goods: Organize and store received materials and products in designated warehouse areas, taking extra care to make sure items have a visible label.
- Preparing Shipments: Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipping according to company standards and customer orders.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain shipping and receiving reports, bills of lading, and other essential documentation.
- Equipment Operation: Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and cranes, to move and store large or heavy items.

- Safety & Organization: Follow and maintain warehouse safety procedures, keep workspaces organized, and adhere to environmental management systems.
- Problem Solving: Address discrepancies in shipments both inbound and outbound, storage, or inventory and troubleshoot shipping-related issues.
- Contributes to Team Effort: Perform any additional duties as requested and/or cross training in different roles within the department.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred. Must be able to operate a computer.
- Prefer one to three years related experience in shipping/parts department.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
- Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
- Ability to count and measure equipment.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work tasks, and excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to make logical decisions with given information.
- Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Demonstrates ability to print all paperwork necessary for the department.
- Demonstrates ability to receive goods into our system accurately and timely.
- Demonstrates the delivery of parts to customers is timely and accurate.
- Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.

May be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Physical demands include frequent lifting, carrying, and/or pushing 50 lbs.
Position Location:
Position is located out of our three Warehouses and is not remote eligible.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Lewisburg, PA is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.
