What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory and Logistics Coordinator position at Playpoint Holdings?
The Toy Shop is seeking an organized, dependable and flexible Inventory and Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of merchandise across our three Connecticut stores.
Based primarily in West Hartford Center, this person will receive vendor shipments, maintain an orderly stockroom and coordinate merchandise transfers among The Toy Shop in West Hartford, Evan’s Toy Shop in Hamden and Jesse’s Toy Shop in Orange.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, checking and processing shipments
- Organizing merchandise and maintaining an efficient stockroom
- Preparing and tracking transfers among our three stores
- Monitoring inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Coordinating physical inventory counts
- Communicating with store managers about inventory needs
- Assisting with online-order fulfillment and other operational priorities
- Occasionally traveling to our Hamden and Orange locations
We’re looking for someone Greater Hartford area based who is reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of the work. The position requires flexibility during the busy holiday season and the ability to safely lift and move moderately sized merchandise cartons.
Experience in retail, inventory control, shipping and receiving, or warehouse operations is helpful. Most important is finding someone dependable who takes pride in keeping things accurate, organized and running smoothly.
PlayPoint Holdings owns and operates three toy stores in Connecticut: The Toy Shop in West Hartford, Jesse's Toy Shop in Orange, and Evan's Toy Shop in Hamden.
