The Regional Sales Manager position is an outside sales role primarily focused on direct selling, but may have some channel management sales opportunities. There will be internal and external lead generation support as well as any existing candidate school relationships. The Regional Sales Manager will manage all aspects of the sales process for both direct and indirect opportunities, with a primary focus on closing schools. The Regional Sales Manager will carry a quota and generate a portion of their overall on-target-earnings from the commission of closed opportunities which are generated by growing the number of members in the School Broadcast Program and Digital Ticketing. To be successful in this role, you will possess and/or have the ability to quickly acquire the following knowledge and skills and will have demonstrated the ability to perform the various tasks and responsibilities listed below
Knowledge/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Outside sales experience is a plus
• Experience/Knowledge of the education industry is a plus
Responsibilities
• Contacting schools in a territory to introduce the program to key decision makers
• Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple accounts and partners
• Aggressively drive partners to maximize sales and total partner potential through sales best practices, training and support
• Keeping abreast of competition, competitive issues and products
• Attending and participating in sales meetings and trade shows
• Accurately keeping track of all communication and details about sales activities with schools in Saleforce.com
• Communicating with Customer Support Manager on a weekly basis to discuss schools and challenges
• Speaking at association meetings, district events, and technology conferences
• Working with school to overcome perceived obstacles to joining the SBP
• Collecting and sending in required paperwork from schools to corporate office
