Playoffs Sports Bar & Grill is looking for a reliable, energetic Tavern Cook to join our team. We are a local sports bar with a fast-paced, casual kitchen focused on good food, teamwork, and getting orders out correctly and on time.
This position is a great fit for someone who can stay organized during busy shifts, work well with servers and bartenders, and take pride in serving quality bar food in a fun, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing menu items quickly, safely, and consistently
- Cooking burgers, wings, sandwiches, appetizers, fried items, and other tavern-style food
- Following recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures
- Keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
- Assisting with prep work, dishes, and closing duties as needed
- Communicating clearly with front-of-house staff during busy periods
- Helping maintain a positive, team-first work environment
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and shows up on time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment
- Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Willing to help wherever needed
- Focused on cleanliness, consistency, and food quality
- Experienced in a kitchen or bar setting preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
Position details:
- Full-time and part-time shifts available
- Night and weekend availability preferred
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Bar or tavern kitchen experience is a plus
