The Role You'll Play

Playlist is on a mission to build a people‑first culture where connection fuels performance, belonging, and connection. As our Senior Manager, Events & Employee Experience you’ll lead the team responsible for bringing our most important in‑person and virtual moments to life, designing experiences that align to our values, strengthen culture, and inspire how our teams collaborate.

If you’re a seasoned events leader with a passion for crafting meaningful experiences, a strong operational backbone, and the leadership presence to partner with executives at the highest level, this is your stage.

  • Lead the strategy, design, and execution of Playlist’s internal corporate event portfolio, from regional offsites to global company gatherings
  • Manage, coach, and grow our events team, setting clear goals and metrics, managing priorities and ensuring operational excellence
  • Partner with C-suite executives to ensure their offsite vision becomes a reality with bringing to life on brand experiences and standout moments
  • Own the end-to-end event lifecycle including planning, resourcing, production, vendor management, and on-site or virtual execution
  • Drive financial stewardship across event budgets up to $10M, including budgeting, forecasting, cost negotiation, and accurate expense tracking while maintaining on budget
  • Build scalable processes, playbooks, and project management frameworks that improve quality, consistency, and speed across a high-volume global portfolio
  • Define and track event KPIs, leveraging data and AI-driven insights to continuously optimize attendee experience, engagement, and business impact
  • Lead cross-functional planning with internal teams and external partners to deliver culturally resonant, inclusive, and on-brand experiences, while overseeing employee engagement, DEI-related programming, and hub-based connection strategies across a global workforce

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • 10 years of experience leading corporate internal events, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth technology environment
  • 4 years of people management experience, with a track record of developing teams and scaling programs
  • Experience designing and executing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events for 100 to 1,000 attendees
  • Strong executive presence and experience partnering directly with C-suite leaders
  • Proven ability to run multiple complex programs at once while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Deep experience with event budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and operational planning, including multi-million dollar budgets
  • Clear, confident communication skills across written plans, executive updates, and event storytelling
  • Data-driven approach to measuring success and improving outcomes, including comfort using AI to support planning and insights
  • Experience supporting employee engagement, inclusive programming, or culture-building initiatives across distributed or global teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Travel Expectations

  • Travel will make up 30-40% of your time, including both local day trips and extended multi-night international travel

The goal of the Company's compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $120,000 to $150,000. The total compensation package for this position may also include a performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans
