Position: Lead Teacher (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Playhouse Academy, a warm and nurturing early learning center located in Hollywood, FL, is looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Teacher to join our growing team. We believe in child-led exploration, hands-on learning, and building strong, supportive relationships with families and children.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 2 years old.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Assist with diapering, toileting routines, meal times, and nap supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
- Communicate positively with parents and staff members.
- Support children in developing independence, language, and early self-help skills.
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide consistent care and daily routines.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children
- Warm, patient, and nurturing personality.
- Ability to follow classroom routines and safety procedures.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and enjoy working in a team environment.
- DCF 45 Hours completed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/First Aid is a plus.
- CDA or equivalent is a plus
- VPK certificate is a plus
- Russian or Spanish is a plus
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time or Part-time available
- Monday–Friday (hours flexible within school schedule)
