YOUR IMPACT AS A HOUSEKEEPER – DOGGIE DAYCARE CLEANER

As a Housekeeper – Doggie Daycare Cleaner, you play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall safety of our facility. While you will not be directly responsible for handling dogs, you will work in and around dogs daily and must be comfortable in an active pet care environment.

This role requires someone who is extremely thorough, detail-oriented, and efficient. You will be responsible for properly cleaning and sanitizing dog areas, equipment, and facility spaces using the correct products in the correct locations at the correct times. Attention to detail and chemical awareness are essential to ensure safety for both pets and staff.

You will work independently for much of your shift, managing your own tasks, pace, and productivity. This role requires strong focus, self-supervision, and the ability to stay task-oriented without getting distracted. You are expected to work efficiently and move at a steady pace to complete all cleaning responsibilities thoroughly and on time.

Additional tasks may include dishes, laundry, and general facility upkeep. You take pride in leaving spaces cleaner than you found them and understand that exceptional cleaning directly impacts the health, safety, and comfort of the dogs in our care.

HOUSEKEEPER HOURS

This is a part-time position, typically 20–30 hours per week, with 4-hour shifts.
Primary shifts are evenings from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Some mid-day weekend shifts may also be available.
No overnights required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & SAFETY EXPECTATIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Team members must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

While this role does not involve direct dog handling responsibilities, working safely around dogs of all sizes is required. Playful Pups Retreat prioritizes safety, and all team members are expected to follow established policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
