Playcast is a peer-to-peer streaming application delivering shared, real-time gaming experiences with ultra-low latency. The Role
We’re looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining automated test suites that ensure the reliability and performance of our Node.js backend services and browser-based applications.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for backend APIs (Node.js) and browser-based UI Create and manage test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and performance testing
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers to understand requirements and edge cases
Perform root cause analysis on failed tests and work with engineering to resolve issues
Monitor test coverage and continuously improve automation frameworks
Document testing processes and contribute to QA best practices
What We’re Looking For
3 years of experience in QA automation, preferably in a full-stack or backend-heavy environment Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience testing Node.js applications
Hands-on experience with browser automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Supertest
Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines
Solid understanding of software testing principles
