Job Title: Bartender

Job Summary
Perform a variety of tasks, from stocking supplies, serving, charging people for their food, handling cash, credit cards, and a cash register, cleaning tables and counters, resetting tables, greeting customers and answering questions. Bartenders work on their feet for long periods of time and are experts at customer service.
Essential Functions
- Prepare tap room for business by organizing menus, sorting silverware, stocking water glasses, water bottles and side plates as well as folding napkins and spot checking section
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate beers; answering food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
- Transmit orders to kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
- Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
- Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return
- Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Preparing bar drinks for wait-staff to serve to guests outside of bar area
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
- Recognize and report any low inventory items in a timely manner

Required Skills

Additional Requirements
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
- Food Handlers Card
- Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol
- Must have 1-year of bartending experience
- Craft Cocktail experience a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 165 pounds
- Ability to work in an environment where you will be exposed to heat, cold, steam, etc.
- Frequently washing own hands and manual dexterity

Pay: $10.98 - $10.99 per hour
