General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and skilled team.
• Oversee food preparation to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Utilize POS systems for order processing, sales tracking, and inventory control.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage food costs, and implement effective stock control measures to maximize profitability.
• Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, shift reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Develop staff schedules, manage shift changes, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Conduct regular staff training on food safety practices, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
• Analyze profit and loss to identify opportunities for growth and cost savings.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
• Ensure compliance with all health regulations and maintain high standards of food safety management.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing quick service or fast food restaurants with a strong understanding of restaurant management principles.
• Extensive background in food preparation, culinary operations.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems for sales processing and inventory control.
• Demonstrated success in supervising teams, conducting interviews, training staff, and managing hospitality teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and financial analysis.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams confidently while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
• Experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, inventory control, and cost management strategies.
• Prior experience in fast causal is highly desirable; catering experience is a plus.
