Server

Job Summary:
This is a part-time (non-exempt) position with a schedule that includes weekday and weekend evenings, as well as occasional morning shifts. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience. This is a non-supervisory, non-exempt role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they arrive.
• Guide them to their table when working in the dining area.
• Present menus and provide information about menu items and specials.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
• Check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to customer spills or other special needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, restrooms, service areas, and the dining environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and accuracy of orders.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, alcohol control policies, and restaurant/bowling policies.
• Assist with training new staff as needed.
• Assist other servers or areas when your workload permits.
• Stay productive during slow periods by preparing, cleaning, or tackling special projects assigned by managers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a wait staff or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and tips.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
• Familiar with point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the job.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma
• 1-2 years server experience
• Food Handlers Card (preferred)
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (preferred).

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) - preferred

Physical Requirements and Schedule:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a noisy and busy environment.
