Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or preschool frameworks
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating a respectful learning environment
- Engage children in activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and overall development
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean, safe space
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities
- Support early childhood education initiatives by fostering social skills, emotional regulation, and independence
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Two year degree preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and behavior management techniques
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to various age groups
- Experience working with children with autism or disabilities is a plus
