Play Like a Girl! is a hip, innovative and inspiring resource for girls’ health, powered by a creative online network, targeted community outreach and live events. We are committed to educating girls, but play is at the center of everything we do. With a decade of experience, our charitable brand is now a leading provider of evidence-based prevention programs tackling childhood obesity. Our volunteer staff works side by side with our girls to inspire them to live a happier, healthier and more active lifestyle by promoting sport and physical activity as a path to lifelong success.

Meet Mentor connects women professionals with middle school girls for short, structured conversations that spark confidence, broaden career awareness, and help girls imagine what’s possible. This is a no-prep, low-lift volunteer opportunity—perfect for busy professionals who want to make a meaningful impact in a short amount of time.

Play Like a Girl brings girls together to explore STEM, build confidence through sports, and connect with real mentors who show them what’s possible for their future. You can play a key role by

• Joining small groups of girls for rotating conversations
• Answering simple prompts about your career journey (and life!)
• Building rapport, encouraging curiosity, and offering advice
• Participating in light activities (no technical skills required)
  
  

Your presence helps girls gain confidence, discover new interests, and picture themselves in fields where women are still underrepresented. Your time and energy genuinely shape how these girls think about their strengths, their goals, and what they can achieve.
