We buy, sell, and trade new and used sports equipment, so no two days look the same. One minute you're helping someone find their first set of hockey pads / golf clubs / baseball gloves, the next you're checking in a trade-in and figuring out what it's worth. You'll learn how to spot good gear, price it, and sell it, which is a skill that's useful long after this job.
No sporting goods experience? No problem. If you like sports or fitness, are good with people, and show up when you say you will, we'll train you.
We're looking for a friendly, dependable, sports-minded person to join our team. If you enjoy helping people find the right gear and want to learn the ins and outs of the sporting goods business, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Greet every customer with a smile and help them find what they need
- Recommend products based on each customer's needs, goals, and budget
- Run the register and process in-store and online sales accurately, including cash handling
- Clean, inspect, and process buys of used sports and fitness gear
- Help price and merchandise gear and apparel
- Stock shelves, maintain displays, and keep the sales floor clean and organized
- Build your product knowledge so you can give customers honest, expert guidance
- Support your teammates and help assist store management with daily operations
What We're Looking For
- Passion for sports, fitness, or the outdoors
- Reliable, punctual, and friendly, with clear communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting and able to multitask
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail calculations
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require
- Able to lift up to [30] pounds and stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Retail or customer service experience preferred. Sporting goods experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 25.0 per week
