What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate/Skate Sharpener position at Play It Again Sports?
- Shifts are every other Friday evening, 4pm-8pm and every weekend EITHER Saturday or Sunday for 7 hours.
- 10-14 hours a week with the potential for more hours.
Play It Again Sports, Blaine is looking for a part-time Retail Sales Associate/Skate Sharpener to provide excellent customer service, sharpen ice skates and find the right sporting goods products for our customers. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify customer needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Sharpen ice skates
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
- Cross-sell products
- Cashiering
- Tagging and stocking merchandise
- Provide excellent customer service
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
Skills
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Evening and weekend availability
