Overview
Do you love sports? Do you enjoy buying and selling? Do you enjoy customer interaction? We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive in-store experience, assisting customers, processing sales, and maintaining product displays. You’ll also help with the buying and pricing of used sports equipment, offering knowledge and recommendations based on current trends and condition.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and enthusiastic manner
- Provide knowledgeable and honest product advice for new and used sporting goods
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently and accurately
- Assist with buying used sports gear from customers, evaluating condition and resale value
- Stock, organize, and clean the sales floor and backroom
- Stay informed about current sports gear trends and product knowledge
- Meet or exceed daily sales goals and performance metrics
- Promote in-store events, promotions, and loyalty programs
- Follow company policies and safety procedures
- Work as part of a team to achieve overall store success
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Passion for sports and fitness strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Basic computer and POS system skills
