Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and provide support to children as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms, play areas, and common spaces.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sanitizing toys and surfaces.
- Help with meal preparation and serving, ensuring a safe dining experience for children.
- Monitor children's safety during indoor and outdoor playtime.
- Provide backup support for staff during breaks or absences.
- Assist in setting up and taking down classroom materials for activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the center.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in childcare or custodial work preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children and staff.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and safety procedures.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check and adhere to state licensing requirements.
- Positive attitude and a passion for working with young children.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
