NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY
POSITON TITLE/SCHOOL BUILDING: Secondary Math Teacher/Building TBD
GRADE LEVEL and/or SUBJECT: Grades TBD
CERTIFICATION: NYS Mathematics 7-12
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS or EXPERIENCES:
- Knowledge of and experience implementing the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards for Mathematics
- Understanding of NYSED assessment practices and use of data to inform instruction
- Experience with standards-based, culturally responsive-sustaining education practices
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality, rigorous math instruction
- Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including differentiation, intervention, and progress monitoring
- Ability to use formative assessment and data cycles to adjust instruction and support student growth
- Experience supporting diverse learners, including students with disabilities and English Language Learners, in inclusive settings
- Effective use of instructional technology to enhance student engagement and learning
- Commitment to collaborative practices
SALARY: Plattsburgh Teachers’ Association Contract
