JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees the Deposit Operations team, ensuring efficient, compliant, and customer-focused processes. Responsible for evaluating and improving operational workflows, implementing regulatory changes, managing system administration, leading projects, and supporting frontline staff in day-to-day operations. The position requires strong leadership and collaboration to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Serve as the primary point of contact for all items regarding deposit, teller, and IRA/HSA operations.
b. Manage the Deposit Operations team with a focus on teamwork, accuracy, and ownership, while identifying and executing opportunities for improvement.
c. Provide guidance to the team in delivering exceptional support to front-line associates, ensuring they are well-equipped to offer outstanding customer service.
d. Oversee and manage Quality Control reviews to ensure process integrity, transaction accuracy, and data consistency, while maintaining front-line accountability for compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
e. Plan and lead regular meetings to provide updates, communicate policy and regulatory changes, deliver training, and promote open communication.
f. Serve as the administrator for multiple banking platforms, ensuring their functionality and compliance with operations needs and communicating promptly with front-line staff when systems are unavailable or experiencing issues.
g. Monitor the Deposit Operations ticketing system and phone queue to ensure timely response and resolution of internal requests and inquiries.
h. Develop and maintain training resources, documentation, and support tools that enable front-line staff, trainers, and operations teams to perform their roles effectively.
i. Lead deposit-related acquisition initiatives, including data conversions, product mapping, redisclosures, and system integrations.
j. Lead special projects involving deposit, teller, IRA/HSA operations, including the implementation of new platforms.
k. Collaborate with other teams to support company-wide initiatives and long-term goals.
l. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Qualifications:
1. Five years of banking experience with working knowledge of deposit operations, teller functions, and IRA/HSA account management.
2. Associate’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
3. Proficient in basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
4. Strong administrative and work processing skills.
5. Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently while supporting departmental goals.
6. Possess flexibility and adaptability in managing last-minute request and shifting priorities.
7. Core competencies include; decision-making, dependability, staff development, evaluation skills, interpersonal communication, task prioritization, efficiency, problem-solving, teamwork, and time management.
8. Demonstrated aptitude to manage sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships with discretion and professionalism.
9. Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
10. Strong oral and written communication skills, including effective telephone communication.
11. Self-motivated and effectively manages workload with limited direction and supervision.
12. Must be capable to manage and protect confidential and sensitive information with a high level of integrity.
