SCHEDULING OPERATIONS TEAM LEAD (HYBRID)

Schedule: Full-Time

Hybrid: 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

LEAD A HIGH-PERFORMING SCHEDULING TEAM

Platte River Foot & Ankle Surgeons is one of the fastest-growing physician-owned foot and ankle specialty practices in the Midwest, serving patients throughout Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Operations Team Lead to oversee and develop our centralized scheduling department.

This is not an entry-level leadership position.

We are looking for someone with a proven history of excellence, accountability, leadership, and professional growth who can help us continue building a world-class patient access experience.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated success leading teams, improving processes, managing performance, and delivering measurable results in a healthcare environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Leadership & Accountability

• Directly supervise a team of schedulers and surgery schedulers
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Hold team members accountable to performance standards
• Manage performance improvement plans when necessary
• Lead departmental meetings and participate in strategic planning initiatives
• Serve as escalation point for complex patient scheduling concerns
• Handle inbound and outbound patient scheduling calls

Operations

• Manage centralized scheduling operations across multiple clinic locations
• Optimize provider templates and scheduling workflows
• Monitor department KPIs and implement process improvements
• Support surgery scheduling operations as needed
• Ensure consistent patient experience across all markets
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients

Performance Metrics

You will be accountable for:

• Call answer times
• Scheduling accuracy
• Appointment conversion rates
• Patient experience
• Scheduling template optimization
• Team productivity
• Team retention and development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 3 years healthcare scheduling experience
• 2 years team lead, supervisory, or management experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience working within an EHR or practice management system
• Ability to lead through accountability, coaching, and performance management
• Stable work history demonstrating increasing responsibility

Preferred

• Surgery scheduling experience
• Multi-location scheduling experience
• Experience managing remote employees
• Experience developing workflows and operational processes
