Middle School Social Studies Teacher – Inspire Future Leaders & Bring History to Life

What You’ll Do
As a Middle School Social Studies Teacher, you will:
- Create engaging, standards-aligned lessons that bring history, government, economics, geography, and culture to life aligned to Florida Standards.
- Foster meaningful classroom discussions that encourage inquiry, collaboration, and analytical thinking.
- Inspire students to explore historical events, global perspectives, and current issues through interactive and student-centered learning experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and help every student succeed academically and socially.
- Build a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, curiosity, and civic responsibility.
- Use innovative instructional strategies, technology, projects, and primary sources to deepen student understanding and engagement.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support continuous growth.
- Maintain organized lesson plans, student records, and instructional materials aligned with school expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support student achievement, interdisciplinary learning, and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and development.
- Participate in professional learning opportunities and maintain applicable credentials related to content areas.
- Support school events, academic competitions, cultural activities, and enrichment opportunities that enhance student learning.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered.

Minimum Requirements:
- Temporary or Permanent Florida Teaching Certification.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in accordance with position.
