Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.
Duties
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
- Compose and respond to professional emails as needed, prepare clear and detailed incident reports, and maintain accurate written documentation of security activities, observations, and communications.
- Actively patrol large areas on foot for extended periods, maintaining visibility and deterring unauthorized activity.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and security equipment to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed and report any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Utilize CCTV systems for surveillance and documentation of incidents.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize risks and protect company assets.
- Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Requirements
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Open availability.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must pass background checks and any required training certifications.
- For positions that require bicycle patrol, applicants must know how to ride a bicycle safely and be comfortable conducting patrols by bike.
