What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicaid Advocate position at Platinum Benefit Services?

Join our dynamic team as a trusted long-term care financial solutions administrator, where your expertise (we will train you) will empower clients to successfully navigate complex financial landscapes related to long-term care crisis planning. In this role, you will communicate with clients to understand the details of their financial situation and act at the direction of an attorney to execute on asset and income protection strategies that allow those needing long-term care to qualify for appropriate benefits. You will deal directly with the applicant or the legal representative of the applicant to accomplish a benefit approval.

This is a unique position where you will learn a tremendous amount regarding assets, income, legal documents, retirement accounts, financial transactions and much, much more. In fact, this position will teach you about a plethora of concepts and strategies that will be of great value in your personal life. It will also give you a great deal of satisfaction in helping the vulnerable elderly and their families protect what they have spent a lifetime accumulating.

This position is not for the faint of heart. You will need a curiosity about how things work and a heart for the elderly. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in completing benefit applications
  • Educate clients on their rights and responsibilities within the benefit program
  • Conduct assessments to determine client eligibility
  • Provide guidance on available resources and support services
  • Recording and maintaining accurate information in an advanced database system.
  • Complying with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
  • Performing other adminstrative tasks, as required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards (helpful)
  • Experience in paper intensive systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of annuities, life insurance, IRA’s, brokerage accounts, etc. (helpful)
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
