Charlotte, NC - Simulation Development Engineer - Automotive - $120K-$200K DOE
As a Simulation Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, application, and support of predictive multi-body vehicle models, simulation tools and driver-in-the-loop vehicle models. Main Duties:
Collaborate within the Simulation Development Group to develop and validate high-fidelity vehicle models and simulation tools
Design and implement programming solutions to enhance model capability, accuracy and overall user experience
Develop and improve testing methodologies to strengthen model characterization
Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex simulation software in a fast-paced environment
Analyse data and perform regression analysis to develop vehicle models and subsystems
Skills and Experience Required:
5 years of high-level simulation software engineering experience (vehicle simulation, modelling and validation)
Appreciation of vehicle dynamics theory, efficient modelling & coding practices
Experience with full-vehicle simulation application and analysis
Experience with simulation tools - Dymola
Skills in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or C
Previous motorsport experience would be preferable, but simulation experience in automotive or aerospace will also be considered.
Salary : $120,000 - $200,000
