Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges
- Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, medication logs, and incident reports
- Follow all safety protocols, including CPR and first aid procedures, to ensure resident safety at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable
- Proficient in Vietnamese Language
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and family members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations
