JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN I
DEPARTMENT: QUALITY ASSURANCE
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under direct supervision, the quality assurance technician I will perform and document inspections of manufacturing products and materials.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies to provided data packages.
- Document inspection results on approved forms.
- Perform incoming inspection on raw material and outsourced processes.
- Review and signoff on redlined drawings and engineering change requests.
- Perform other dutiesas arenecessary and/orrequired.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diplomaand0-2years of experienceinmanufacturing Quality.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Useofbasicinspection tools (i.e.calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges /micrometers).
- Strong communicationskills, including the ability to explainresults andmethodologies.
- Ability to obtainasecurityclearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand at a workstation forprolonged periods of time.
- Abilityto lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
