Job Description: Be a part of a great team, Plate'D Social, the new restaurant on the grounds of the new state of the art, Bradley 315 Sports Complex!! We are looking for friendly, energetic, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as waitstaff. As a member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, our waitstaff play a key role in our catering and event services, assisting with off-site and in-house events to create memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a welcoming manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries
- Handle customer concerns with a positive and solution-oriented approach
- Process payments and issue receipts
- Assist with catering services, including setup, service, and breakdown of events
- Work off-site at catering events as needed, ensuring seamless food and beverage service
- Collaborate with team members to execute successful events, from intimate gatherings to large functions
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant or catering experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years old (for alcohol service)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift and carry trays, equipment, and supplies for catering events
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
