Job Description: Be a part of a great team, Plate'D Social, the new restaurant on the grounds of the new state of the art, Bradley 315 Sports Complex!! We are seeking an experienced and energetic Bartender/Mixologist to join our team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional cocktails, serving beverages, and providing top-notch customer service. You will also play a key role in creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, whether they are enjoying a night out, dining in, or attending a catered event.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain knowledge of cocktail recipes, beer, wine, and spirits to make recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and minimize waste
- Clean and maintain bar equipment, glassware, and work areas
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with special events and catering services that include bar service
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be willing to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., BASSET certification for alcohol service in Illinois)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
