Job Summary
The Plasticoid Company, a manufacturer of molded rubber products, has an opening for a Plant Manager in Elkton, MD. The Plant Manager supervises the compression and transfer molding operations, of the company. The production employees are represented by the United Steelworkers. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities and Duties
The responsibilities of the position are:
Determine production schedules based on sales orders, staffing, machine availability, within budgetary and time constraints.
Track production, quality, and maintenance to detect real or potential production problems and review these problems with technical or administrative staff to resolve the problems.
Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Analyze material, tooling and machinery to provide the best approach to molding rubber products
Hire, train, evaluate or discharge staff to resolve personnel issues.
Qualifications and Skills
Abilities required are deductive reasoning, problem sensitivity, inductive reasoning and information ordering.
A background in managing production operations is required. Engineering background is preferred. A college degree is preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
