Job Summary: Primary responsibilities for the Production Supervisor are to coordinate and direct the daily activities in manufacturing and resolve quality issues to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Other duties include coordination with other departments to satisfy customer needs for product and resolution of defective product issues.

Essential Job Functions

- Supervise and coordinate work activities of personnel in card manufacturing along with personnel in other departments with no on duty Supervisor.
- Manage the daily production schedules in all of card manufacturing.
- Communicate maintenance issues to Production Manager and Maintenance Department to ensure timely repair of machinery.
- Review and answer issues concerning quality or functionality of product.
- Track and review waste from production process to ensure efficient material use. Complete detailed production reports consisting of a daily shift summary and data entry of completed production.
- Complete basic human resource duties such as time keeping (payroll), vacation approvals and employee evaluations
- Assure all safety standards and procedures are followed.
- Perform these and other duties as assigned by Production Manager or other appropriate management personnel.
- Work overtime as needed to meet customer needs.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 4:00 am to 4:30 pm
*Training will be conducted on the regular schedule of 6:00am to 4:00pm for about 1 month, subject to change
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Associates Degree is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jacks
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting with variable temperature conditions. The employee will be working around moving equipment and machinery and will occasionally be required to use hazardous chemicals with appropriate, required personal protective equipment. The employee may be exposed to minimal chemical smells and paper dust. The employee must be prepared to respond to emergencies should they occur. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
