Position Summary: The Head of Security will be responsible for overseeing our two facilities security operations while working with all departments to promote a safe environment for our employees. This role is vital to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, guests, and infrastructure. You'll oversee the daily plant security, enforce compliance protocols, and respond swiftly and effectively to all potential threats and incidents.

Job Duties:
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of the company's employees, assets, and facilities.
- Routinely tour and inspect our two properties, identifying potential safety hazards, and mitigate according to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Interact professionally with employees, guests, and vendors at all times, ensuring a positive and secure atmosphere.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.
- Monitor security systems and respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
- Maintain and update emergency response plans, ensuring all stakeholders know their roles and responsibilities.
- Lead investigations into security incidents.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in security technology to improve the company's security posture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in security management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Criminal Justice, Security Management, etc.), or equivalent work experience.
- Law enforcement or military service background preferred.
- Experienced in surveillance systems.
- Strong conflict management skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Deep understanding of security principles and practices, as well as current threats and vulnerabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Physical fitness and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and be proficient in MS Office suite software to include MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call as needed.
