Operations Coordinator
We are looking for a highly organized Operations Coordinator to assist with the daily business activities and administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include shipping, receiving, scheduling, and ordering supplies to support all production related activities. You will organize incoming orders, communicate to management, customers, and suppliers. You will be responsible for front office administration and working with the support teams in other offices. Our successful candidate is well organized, productive, communicates effectively, and will be able to ensure smooth daily operations focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and high employee engagement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinates all shipping, receiving, warehousing, and other logistics related activities and/or processes in company ERP system.
- Purchases packaging, production, office, and other supplies.
- Partners with customers and vendors to manage customer orders, sales orders, vendor purchase orders, pricing, scheduling, and deliveries.
- Communicates shipping and delivery details to customers, vendors, and leadership.
- Is actively involved in the production planning processes.
- Enters sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, and manages other processes in company ERP system.
- Monitors, audits, and manages inventory accuracy with raw, finished goods, spare parts, and other assets in company ERP system.
- Works closely with leadership team to assist with production, business, analysis, and all reporting activities.
- Provides administrative, payroll, and vacation tracking support including answering direct phone calls, and emails.
- Works with leadership to ensure OSHA and quality compliance, participates in routine audits, and actively participates in other continuous improvement activities to ensure our facility is safe, clean, organized, and always improving.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, degree in business administration or related technical field preferred or related work experience.
- Experience in business operations, preferably in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent skills in organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, communication, discretion, and judgment
- Excellent time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge and strong support or lean manufacturing methodologies, collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement skills.
- Ability to develop relationships and effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and other business contacts.
- Proficient in general software, primarily Microsoft Office.
