Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support the surgeon, and clinical team by providing both administrative and clinical assistance to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality patient care. this position plays a key role in preparing patients for procedures, maintaining sterile conditions, coordinating pre- and post-operative care, and delivering a professional, compassionate experience to every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Patients for consultations, procedures and post-operative visits
- ensure exam and procedure rooms are clean, stocked and properly sterilized
- Manager pre-and post-operative care instructions and documentation
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records using 4D EMR
- Assist in photography before-and-after documentation following HIPPA and office policies
- Assist with ordering and managing medical and surgical supplies
- Maintain confidentiality of all patients and practice information
- Manager implant inventory and ordering
- Surgical instrument sanitation and sterilization
- Pre-Charting patient notes for the surgeon.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA or equivalent preferred)
- CPR/ BLS certification
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting and experience in plastic surgery, dermatology or cosmetic procedures preferred
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments and post-operative care
- Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills is a MUST
- Professional appearance with an up-beat high energy demeanor appropriate for a high-end medical aesthetic environment
- Proficient with EMR systems and office software.
Work Environment:
The Medical Assistant will work in a plastic surgery clinic and surgical setting. (Operating room and PACU) assisting in both medical and aesthetic procedures. The position may involve standing for extended periods, occasional lifting and maintaining a sterile and organized workspace.
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
