Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dependable 1099 Courier to join our dynamic delivery team. As a 1099 independent contractor, you will be responsible for transporting goods, packages, and passengers efficiently and safely across designated local routes. Your role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service, all while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Duties

• Safely operate various passenger vehicles, including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, or personal vehicles for delivery purposes.
• Navigate assigned routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
• Our team operates as 1099 contractors using their personal vehicles and providing their own gas. You must have valid insurance and a current driver's license to work.
• Must be willing to work on weekends (we are willing to work with you)
• Packages will be picked up from our fulfillment center in Lorton, VA 22079
• Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery or pickup, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation.
• Drivers arrive at the warehouse, scan and load their vehicles using the app, which assists them with deliveries. After finishing their routes, they simply send their manifest to driver lead and head home.
• Manage multiple deliveries efficiently within scheduled timeframes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or shuttle driver with strong knowledge of local driving routes..
• is per package delivered, varying based on the number of stops and distance from the warehouse, with drivers typically making between 75 to 150 stops daily (sometimes more, sometimes less). We have a diverse range of drivers using vehicles from sedans like Hondas to SUVs. 95% of the packages will be bags, so any vehicle is suitable.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages or cargo safely.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and navigation instructions.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure safety and reliability.
