Plasidyne Eng. & Mfg. is a busy plastics machine shop currently seeking an Account Manager / Order Entry Representative to join our team!

With responsibilities for the day to day operations, the individual to fill this position must be highly organized, smart, professional, proactive, be a team player and work well under pressure. They must also be an excellent multi-tasker, detail-oriented and computer savvy. Must be comfortable working and speaking with customers. This individual will have exposure to a wide range of tasks and support functions and enjoy working in an open and lively office environment.

Basic Function

Interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about purchase orders and status updates, also to handle and resolve customer complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Receive requests for Quotes, process Purchase Orders, respond to emails regarding Purchase Order status, and create RMAs (Return Material Authorizations).
  • Enter customer's Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy of Customer Name, Purchase Order #, Part Number, Revision, Quantity, Shipping Address and Delivery Date.
  • Receive customer's requests by telephone or email, provide information requested in a timely matter, such as status updates, expedites or additional order information.
  • Resolves customer's questions related to orders, or delivery issues.
  • Be liaison between customer and other departments for accurate order completion.
  • Contact customers to ascertain data omitted on Purchase Orders.
  • Be proactive to customer's needs. Provide follow up.
  • Have knowledge of products, prices, delivery time, and material specification requirements as needed by customer and/or end user.
  • Handle any delivery inconsistencies or delays.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience

1-2 years experience in Customer Service in an office setting.

Education/Training

Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent; and a minimum of one-two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability

Ability to read English proficiently and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
