Description

Work schedule is 5 8-hour days, M-F 6AM-2PM.

The pay range is $17.75-$24.38/hour


Summary

Meets production requirements to fulfill customer orders for sealed or clipped bags and ensure production meets quality standards by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Reads job specifications on work orders to determine machine adjustments and material requirements

· Operates bag sealing and bag clipping machinery according to user instructions and Standard Operating Instructions (SOP’s)

· Operates pallet jack and roll cart to transport materials and completed orders

· Follows quality control requirements; visually inspects finished product for quality

· Cleans production area at the end of each shift

· Enters production data into computer, completes positive release forms for quality Department, completes Tracking Tickets for finished goods

· Packages product as needed

· Prints labels

· Assists with shipping as needed

· Performs basic maintenance as needed, if further repairs are needed communicates with Supervisor

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to accurately use a tape measure.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, with or without a calculator.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a production and manufacturing facility. Employees are required to wear hair restraints, and comply with protective clothing guidelines. Must be able to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled and needed.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
