Job Title: Bartender
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 p/h tips
Location: Crystal River, FL
Reports to: Food & Beverage Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Prepares beverages and serves food for the customer in a prompt and courteous fashion while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
- Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promotes house drinks and food items; utilizes up selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
- Provide exceptional customer service while serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items in a timely manner
- Create new cocktail recipes with a forward-thinking approach for guests and members in a professional, courteous, and timely manner, all while providing outstanding service.
- Create and foster personal experiences and relationships with guests and members.
- Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers, guests, and members
- Provide restaurant and bar guests with excellent beverage quality and consistency in an attractive environment and with professional service.
- Receive and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
- Prepares beverages requested by customers or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper proportions and ingredients to control costs and provide a consistent product to the guests.
- Maintains clean and organized work areas to maximize efficiency; sets up the bar and back bar according to established procedures.
- Anticipate guest needs, and monitor and handle guest inquiries. Notify management when a guest becomes intoxicated or rude to other guests.
- Fill and clean ice bins, clean and empty trash cans, change kegs, stock beer and wine coolers.
- Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
- Maintain professional and cooperative communication with co-workers and management.
- Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
- Checks identification whenever a guest is requesting an alcoholic beverage; follows state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Verifies liquor inventory; correctly completes all requisition requirements and stores stock as per approved procedures. Obtains, counts and secures bartender’s bank; distributes and collects bar servers’ banks; documents cash distribution in register drawer.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provides a professional image at all times though appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned as business demands.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have at least 1 year bartending/mixologist experience. Hotel/Resort experience is preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain ServSafe Certification within 30 days of employment.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification.
- Basic reading skills and basic oral proficiency in the English language.
- Basic mathematical skills are used when completing customer payment transactions.
- Position requires flexibility in scheduling including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc. Be able to carry and lift items of up to 50 pounds (i.e. plates, utensils, trays, tables) frequently.
- Must be able to push or pull a portable banquet bar.
- Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.
- Must be able to complete repetitive motions during shift such as pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc.
- Be able to work in a hot, cold, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
