Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive landscape designs using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, and other CAD software to create detailed plans and visualizations.
- Conduct site analysis to assess topography, soil conditions, drainage patterns, and existing vegetation.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure design intent aligns with project goals and site constraints.
- Prepare construction documents including planting plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation systems, and construction estimates.
- Oversee project implementation by coordinating with crew to ensure designs are executed accurately while maintaining sustainability standards.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles focusing on water conservation, native plant use, and eco-friendly materials throughout project phases.
- Perform land surveying and site inspections to verify measurements and assess ongoing landscape maintenance needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape architecture or design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), MicroStation, Land Surveying tools, and GIS applications such as ArcView or ArcGIS.
- Solid understanding of horticulture practices including plant selection, landscape maintenance, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to perform drafting and CAD work efficiently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas visually and verbally to clients and team members.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $71,960.52 per year
