About the Role
Plant People is looking for a content-obsessed creator to join our marketing team as Content Coordinator. This is a hands-on production role for someone who lives on TikTok, understands how to make content that actually performs, and can bring the Plant People brand to life in a way that feels native to the platform -- not like an ad.
You'll work closely with our Content Marketing Strategist and collaborate with the broader marketing team to keep our content calendar moving and our feeds fresh.
What You'll Do
- Produce short-form video content primarily for TikTok, with application across Instagram Reels and other social channels
- Film and edit content end-to-end using mobile-first tools like CapCut -- from concept to posted
- Get out in the field: shoot at retail locations including Target, Whole Foods, and Sprouts, as well as on-the-street and lifestyle environments that reflect where our customers actually live
- Stay ahead of platform trends, sounds, and formats -- and bring ideas to the table before they're overdone
- Collaborate with the Community & Events Coordinator to capture content at events and activations
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence in alignment with the broader content calendar
- What We're Looking For
- A genuine TikTok native -- you're not just on the app, you understand how it works
- Proven ability to film and edit short-form video independently, start to finish (portfolio or links required)
- Comfortable on camera and in public -- you don't wait for perfect conditions, you make it work
- Fast mover: you see an idea, you shoot it, you turn it around
- Strong aesthetic instincts and the ability to execute on-brand content without heavy direction
- Based in Austin, TX and available for regular in-person shoot days
- Familiarity with wellness, CPG, or lifestyle brands a plus
